There is nothing like Ice Cream to kick off the school year.
The first Friday of each school year, Parents' Club welcomes students and their families as well as staff to come out and enjoy an evening of music, socializing, root beer floats and ice cream sundaes with all the toppings. Where else can you get an ice cream sundae for $1! Student who attend also get a homework pass that allows them to skip an assignment or use it for extra credit (based on their teacher's approval)
The last few years we have been excited to include live music by Magnolia's very own "Meltdown" band including some of our most popular staff members; Jeff Peach, Chuck Nat, Jim Richards as well as Tim Smith (retired Magnolia staff) and Bruce McVicker (Cottage Hill teacher).
This year Magnolia's Student Leadership facilitated a contest "Hot Facts for Cool Prizes" to raise awareness of student leadership and parents' club activities. Several prizes were given away and the top winner took home a $50 target gift card.
Fun for everyone! A night you won't want to miss!!!
